Learning British Sign Language (BSL) can be an exciting and confidence-building experience for children. These one-to-one sessions are designed to be fun, interactive, and tailored to suit each child’s learning style and interests.
I’ve been teaching children since February 2021 and work with learners from age 7 and up.

What will my child learn?
Depending on their age and level, children will be introduced to:

The BSL alphabet and fingerspelling

Everyday topics such as colours, animals, feelings, and family

Basic conversations and introductions

Deaf Awareness and an understanding of how people communicate in different ways

Games and activities to reinforce signs and structure
Lessons can also be themed around your child’s interests (e.g. pets, hobbies, or story time).

Home-Educated & SEND Learners
I have experience working with home-educated children and children with learning differences. I offer one-to-one tuition and can sometimes organise small group sessions locally to suit families. If your child requires a tailored approach, I’m happy to discuss what will work best.

My teaching style is friendly and flexible. I take time to understand what works best for each learner and create sessions that are engaging, practical, and paced just right.
